Game Scores, Records, Pictures and Tournament History

Four years ago, the Cooper Yeshiva High School held its inaugural National Invitational Tournament. With the Torah Academy of Bergen County (Bergenfield, New Jersey), Block Yeshiva High School (St. Louis, MO) and Yeshiva Atlanta (Atlanta, GA), the Invitational sought to bring young Jewish athletes from across the country together for a weekend of competitive basketball, learning, and the development of friendships. Springboarded by the inaugural event’s enormous success, the 2008 event doubled in size and scope. And only 30 days after the Championship trophy was awarded at the 2008 event, 16 schools had pre-registered for participation in 2009. The current sixteen team format has catapulted the Invitational to national prominence and cemented it as an event unlike anything in the country.

In only 4 years more than 26 teams representing 17 states have participated in the event. With this year’s addition of Yeshiva Bnei Akiva Or Chaim Knights of Toronto, Ontario, the Cooper Invitational is now a North American phenomenon.
