The 4th Annual Cooper Yeshiva High School National Invitational Tournament held this past October was by all accounts an unparalleled success. The nearly 300 student athletes, coaches, chaperones, and fans, who spent the weekend in Memphis, witnessed some of the most competitive Jewish basketball in the country within the context of a wonderful weekend of growth. Nationally, the event has been reported in 6 national sports blogs and 13 national print media outlets. We saw the development of a uniquely different method by which to bring our action into the homes and offices of schools, parents, students and fans, by broadcasting the games not only in audio, but in full streaming video, with state-of-the-art broadcast set-ups and multi-camera capabilities. More than 27,000 people tuned in to watch the games and the Invitational’s website at www.cooperinvitational.com has had more than 72,000 hits. But perhaps more than anything else, I believe we successfully provided young men an opportunity to meet, interact, learn from, and develop friendships with, their counterparts from across North America; to break down the geographic walls that all too often separate our kids; and to bring everyone together so as to instill a greater sense of Jewish pride and self-worth.

THE DATE HAS NOW BEEN SET! With great excitement we announce that the Fifth Annual Cooper Yeshiva High School National Invitational Tournament will be held November 10-13, 2011, in Memphis. We will again host 16 teams from across North America. Space is limited, so please secure your team’s spot soon.
