In the first half of Tier 1 play, the #7 AHA Eagles slowed down the pace to keep the #2 YULA Panthers at bay. Yonatan Tubul led the Eagles with 10 points in the first half, while YULA’s Jack Gindi paced the Panthers with 12 points. Even though YULA had a deeper bench, AHA hung in there with their 6 man rotation.

Beginning in the second half, both teams were determined to pull the victory out and advance into the Final Four. The game remained neck and neck throughout the second half, with neither team able to pull away. With the game tied at 42-42, YULA stole an inbound pass from AHA and scored to go up by 2. Finally, with 2 seconds left, AHA inbounded the ball with a chance to send the game into overtime. However, AHA’s layup fell short, and the YULA Panthers squeaked out a narrow victory and advanced to the Final Four, winning 44-42.
