In a dramatic finish to end the Cooper Macs 4th annual basketball tournament, the Macs overpowered Block in a 80 to 16 win. Macs came out strong, winning the tip, drawing a quick foul and scoring two quick buckets. Bryan Itkowitz steals down low, Eli Osdoba scores, then Sam Rapp, to send the Macs to an 18-0 lead in the first minutes of the game. Block’s Fishman scored a bucket, then Macs Efroni Schlesinger’s and 1, and in rallying team effort, Macs end the first quarter up 28 to 2.

Five new Macs took over in Quarter 2. Jeremy Cooper scored the first bucket, the Blockbusters drew a foul and sunk one free throw bringing their score to 3. Macs Justin Wruble capitalized on 2 quick steals, followed by a beautiful 10 foot jumper by Itkowitz. The scraping Macs end the half 50 to 6.

Macs and Block return to the court with no half time break. Eli Osdoba took charge with two sizzling coast to coast lay ups followed by an AND 1 from Moshe Blockman. Blockbusters are feeling the pain with starter Yair on the bench with a broken foot sustained in round two of tournament play against Or Chaim. Macs, coached by brothers Richard and Daniel Lewis, played a spectacular game to win with the final score of 80 to 16. Alex Peskin eared the high scorer spot for Rambam with 7 points. Macs Eli Osdobas was scorer with 15 Macs and Moshe Blockman had a career high 14.
