11-11-2011 | Beren Stars take Roar out of Lions, 65-47

The second Tier 2 matchup of Friday showcased the #1 seed Beren Hebrew Academy Stars against the #8 seed Yeshiva Atlanta Lions. The Stars took an early lead in the first quarter in what was a very fast paced game. The Stars were led by their leading scorer, Isaac Mirwis, with 14 in the first half. By the end of the half, the Stars were winning 33-25.

Yondi Kadosh of the Atlanta Lions, led the team with 15 points. However, try as the Lions did, they could not get anything going.

By the end of the 3rd quarter, the Stars extended their lead to 41-27. Isaac Mirwis had an explosive game scoring 27 points, to be the leading scorer for the Stars who finished off the Lions with a final score of 65-47.
