10-29-2010 | Falcons shine Brighter than Stars, reach Final Four

The extremely competitive game instantaneously became a low scoring, close-knit competition as the two New York teams in Tier 1 vied for a spot in the Tier 1 Final Four. Senior Andrew Haft and the rest of the Northshore Stars could not keep up with the Flatbush Falcons , and by halftime the Falcons were winning 31-21.

When the second half began, the Falcons picked up their game and started to flaunt their talents. Led by forward Sam Mishaan, Flatbush proved to be too strong for the Stars. Flatbush ended the 3rd quarter still up by 10. As the time began to dwindle down, the Falcons were able to maintain their lead and were even able to stretch it some more. At the end, Flatbush prevailed, 60-44.

Flatbush now enters the Final Four and awaits the winner of the YULA vs. AHA matchup, while, the Stars will continue on in Tier 2 and will look to place 5th.
