While spectators were gathered on court two to watch the Cooper game, the YULA Panthers faced off against Atlanta Jewish Academy Jaguars on Court 1. Both teams kept the game tight with each playing solid defense which kept the score pretty low in the first quarter. Dustin Dayani commanded the floor for the Jaguars, handling the ball well and dishing out crisp passes to his teammates. The teams were virtually tied, but YULA edged out towards the end of the quarter, leading 13-9 at the end of the 1st.

In the second quarter, YULA came out strong and got ahead. They got the ball to Alan Gindi inside who scored and got to the line. The Jaguars struggled to stop him as he made his way to the rim. The Jaguars, having a serious height disadvantage versus YULA, also had troubled grabbing rebounds. This was a problem for them throughout. Gindi and Teichman led the Panthers with ten and nine points respectively, and Ben Glinsky led the Jaguars with five points at the half. The half came to an end with the Panthers holding onto their lead, up 29-15.

In the third quarter, the Panthers stormed up and down the court, taking full control of the game. Dayani had trouble getting the Jaguars back into it, and they barely scored all quarter. YULA’s ball movement was impeccable, and it helped them get good looks throughout. Gindi put on a show all game with his magnificent performance. He helped them put away the game with an enormous lead. Teichman hit a crazy three at the sound of the buzzer, giving them a 60-24 lead.

In the fourth quarter, both teams put out their bench as the game had ended long ago. The rest of the quarter was irrelevant, and both teams were just enjoying themselves. The clock soon ran out, and the Panthers took this one, winning 61-27. The leading scorer for the Panthers was Gindi who had 27 points, and Shmuel was the leading scorer for the Panthers with 6 points.
