The fifth-seeded TABC Storm took on the twelfth-seeded Fasman Yeshiva High School in Game 7 of Tier I on Thursday afternoon. TABC, a participant in the first Cooper Invitational, returned to the Invitational after a 6 year hiatus from the tournament. TABC got off to a very quick start moving the ball well, getting second-chance points, and getting five points out of forward Moshe Brum. Fasman, on the other hand, could not get anything going for them, only scoring their first basket with just a minute to go in the first. Fasman simply could not penetrate TABC’s tenacious defense and get the ball down low. TABC blew by Fasman in the first quarter, taking a 12-2 lead.

Fasman, however, would not give up after a rough start. They came out in the second quarter strong and determined, playing tough defense and scoring down low. Fasman Yeshiva big man Dovy Klein amassed six points to finish the half for Fasman, helping them stay alive. This is not to say that TABC did not play well. They still led 26-11 at the end of the half, led by nine points from Solo Shulman.

In the third quarter, TABC got off to a good start, while Fasman Yeshiva struggled to score. Fasman big man Dovy Klein continued to impress though, finishing the third quarter with a team-high ten points. That wasn’t enough though, as TABC continued to build on their lead, finishing the third ahead 34-16.

Fasman continued to hustle and played their best quarter, outscoring TABC by three, but TABC would not let their lead slip, winning 47-32. Dovy Klein scored a team-high 11 points for Fasman, while Solo Shulman led TABC with 14 points on the game.
