The Fasman Yeshiva High School took on the Denver Academy of Torah Wolves in a Tier II matchup for 7th place on Sunday. Fasman took the lead early, with big man Michael Younes taking advantage of his major mismatch down low. Younes put up 12 points in the quarter as Fasman went on a 14-0 run to take a very comfortable 16-2 lead.

In the second quarter, with Fasman playing their reserves, Denver played a little bit better. Fasman, however, still far outplayed them. The score at the end of the half was 32-11, Fasman. Younes finished the half with 12 points to lead Fasman, while Jacob Wedgle led Denver with seven points.

Harry Esses made a layup and Jesse Blumenthal made a three, but JDS responded with six points to make it a nine point game. Both teams scored, and a Lior Cohen jumper made the score 32-21 in favor of the Kings at the end of the third quarter.

In the third quarter, Fasman controlled the boards and continued to dominate, despite solid shooting from Wolves’ guard Aaron Brooks.

In the fourth quarter, Fasman extended their lead to over 20 points and they never looked back. Fasman cruised to a 64-39 win over the Wolves. Michael Younes led Fasman with 20 points, while Aaron Brooks led Denver with 19 points.
