In the first game of Championship Sunday, the #13 Weinbaum Storm faced the #3 New Jew Jaguars in a battle for 7th place in Tier I. Edan Evanhaim scored first for the Jaguars, but Jared Stern forced a turnover and made a layup to tie up the game. The Jags came back with a 4-0 run, but Weinbaum came back with a 5-0 run of their own to put them ahead for the first time. A Daniel Ozer-Ross bucket put the Jaguars up halfway through the first quarter, and Edan Evanhaim added to the lead scoring four more points. The Jaguars added to their lead when Daniel Ozer-Ross scored six quick points to make the score 20-7 in favor of the Jaguars at the end of the first quarter.

Ezra Emanuel scored two points to start the second quarter, but Weinbaum countered with a bucket on the other end. Evanhaim scored again, but turnovers limited the scoring as the quarter reached the halfway mark. Six transition points put the Jaguars up by double digits, but Jared Stern hit a pair of free throws to keep the Storm within reach. Weinbaum looked a little better adding five more points to make it 32-14 at halftime.

Noah Emanuel made a fast break layup to start the third and Edan Evenhaim added on a free throw to give the Jags a 21 point lead. Both teams scored twice, and at the end of the third quarter, the score was 39-18 in favor of the Jaguars.

The Jaguars started the fourth on a 4-0 run in which they played well defensively and forced a lot of turnovers. Weinbaum finally scored with two minutes left in the game, but at that point was too late. The Jaguars won in a blowout and finished in 7th place in the Cooper Invitational. The final score was 47-22. The high scorer for the Jaguars was Edan Evenhaim with 17 points and Yitzchak Kaminetzky led Weinbaum with 5 points.
